RAIL

HOW TO BOOK YOUR TRAIN

Booking trains through Europe may require more than one site, so we recommend leaving the browser tabs open while making bookings with different companies. Book at least six weeks in advance for best prices, where possible.

VOYAGES SNCF

(Used to be Rail Europe)

We highly recommend this site for European rail travel. Eurostar travel and onward trains to all European destinations can be booked online here.

NOTE: The booking window is 92 days ahead. There are more bargains when the new-season tickets are released. Sign up to our newsletter for free ( see subscribe box on page) and receive alerts as soon as new tickets are available.

*It can be cheaper to book each journey separately, and there may be a wider choice of departure options. Eg, book an overnight ticket to the South of France, then book Eurostar, rather than booking as a continuous journey.
