Nanashi

This little Japanese-influenced cafe is not remotely traditional. Its scrubbed, pale wood and long tables are the antithesis of the cosy Parisian bistro, and unlike most French menus, here, 'vegetarian' is not le mot obscène. Tofu burgers, poached egg, miso soup and Bento boxes are all tasty and freshly made, and children seem as happy as adults. It's not all smugly healthy, either - the cakes are things of wonder.
