The Montana Hotel’s whisky bar keeps over 90 single malts in stock, and offers drinkers a ‘whisky passport,’ to list their favourites, like an i-spy book for alcohol. A life sized wooden statues of Louis Armstrong guards the entrance, and the recently renovated decoration features clean Art Deco lines, which frame the astonishing views of lake and mountains. The pianist accompanies the rumble of contented chat, and guests are encouraged to bring their own instruments and join in.
