Welcome to Eidfjord
This small town sits amongst outstanding natural beauty
Eidfjord, though a small town, is one of Norway's major tourist attractions due to it being surrounded by mountains up to 1900m high and the Hardangerjokulen glacier, one of the largest in Norway, can be seen from parts of Eidfjord village centre.
The Voringfossen waterfall is Norway’s most visited natural attraction and is only about 20 minutes’ drive from central Eidfjord. Skytjefossen, about 9 miles from Eidfjord, has water tumbling down 300 metres. Another popular attraction is Eidfjord “old” church, built in 1309, whilst higher up the fjord Kjeåsen farm is also another local highlight for visitors.
